Over the past few months, we’ve heard your feedback and have been investigating the best ways to make improvements in our services’ availability. As a result, we’re transitioning the hosting of many of our online services from a third-party data center to a new facility, starting February 7 at 8pm EST (Feb. 8 at 1am GMT).

During the transition, some Ubisoft services and online games will not be available – a full list of affected games and services can be found here. We apologize for the inconvenience. This move ultimately will help us improve the maintenance of our infrastructure and deliver better uptime and greatly improved services for our customers. As always, these Units can be used on the Uplay-enabled game of your choice, on any platform. There are some nice rewards to spend your points on!

From the launch – already 2 years ago – Uplay has been all about giving you more options to enjoy Ubisoft games. To this day, our Win feature remains quite unique as a fully cross-platform and cross-game reward service: where else can you unlock units by playing a game on your mobile phone or your PC, then spend these units to unlock content on another game on your home console, for instance? With over 25 games and a multitude of platforms supported, we’re getting quite close to our goal of accompanying you everywhere, and we sure plan on getting even closer in 2012.

This fall, we've added a new friend list to the Share section of Uplay on consoles, which lets you see which of your friends are on Uplay, compare actions and send messages. With the new Uplay dashboard introduced with Assassin's Creed Revelations and Your Shape Fitness Evolved, you can even check your friends' activity stream for games that support the feature, such as the latest Driver and Assassin's Creed games or get community stats!

So, yes, this where a lot of our efforts for Uplay are heading in 2012: making it a place for you to connect with your friends when it comes to Ubisoft games.
